What we like about them
Hayley Nicholson runs her reflexology company from her home in Ashtead so it’s super convenient for anyone living in the area to visit - which Ashtead Living strongly recommends you do, as soon as possible.
We trialled Hayley’s services when she kindly gave Rachel, our director, a foot treatment for a decadent, joyous hour. Having first given Rachel a consultation, as Hayley does for all her first-time clients, she went on to massage Rachel’s feet focussing on specific areas. For Rachel, that meant a stiff neck and a sore shoulder - a result of poor posture sitting at a computer for too many hours of the day.
After the hour, many of the strains on the body, not to mention stresses of the working week had ebbed away. But it wasn’t just what Hayley was doing to Rachel’s feet that helped. The entire experience as a whole was relaxing. Hayley has a very calm aura, and her treatment room has an equally calm feel to it. With plenty of fragrant-smelling candles burning, and chilled music playing in the background, Rachel’s brain was able to totally switch off.
All in all, then, it was an hour very well spent.
Hayley doesn’t just do treatments for the feet, either. She also has a number of facial reflexology packages on offer too. Facial reflexology promises to be a credible alternative to Botox - without the needles and far more pleasurable to boot.
The power of a facial reflexology session further points to the benefits of reflexology as a whole. It’s not just about having a really relaxing hour - though it absolutely is. Reflexology has also been seen to help alleviate the symptoms of all manner of issues. It’s great (and suitable) throughout pregnancy - as well as being wonderful at regulating hormones for those who are post partum. For those going through the menopause and perimenopause, it can also help ease symptoms.
Hayley’s prices start from £50 for an hour, though if you book a course, prices come in cheaper. Whichever you go for, and whatever treatment you choose, you’ll not regret it.
WOULD WE USE THEM AGAIN?
A massive resounding yes. We’ll also be buying everyone on our present list a voucher for Christmas.
