Brew bird

Stunning cafe, not accessible by car.

What we like about them

Brew Bird is a little coffee haven, hidden in the Surrey Hills in Westcott. Reachable only by foot, this coffee van has quickly become a favourite for locals. It offers a quiet spot, free from traffic and noise, where you can enjoy a walk and a good coffee. Open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 to 3, it's a great destination for anyone wanting a break in nature. The van’s Instagram page has lots of walking routes you could try.

The menu includes seasonal drinks like a pumpkin spice latte, made with real pumpkin purée, spices, vanilla, and condensed milk. For a healthy option, the turmeric latte is a blend of fresh turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, and coconut oil. This mix is not only tasty but also helps with reducing inflammation and boosting your immune system - what a win win situation!

The van also serves a range of cakes and savoury items, all made by the owner, who is a former professional cake maker. Popular treats include apple, olive, and maple cake, Persian love cakes, triple chocolate brownies, and spiced apple cake. If you're in the mood for something savoury, try the feta and herb filo tart or their soups like leek and potato or spiced carrot and lentil.

The Coffee and Connect table is set up for anyone walking alone, encouraging people to sit down and chat with others. It’s a small gesture that helps build a sense of community. With a fire pit for colder days and even a dog library, this van is more than just a place to grab a coffee—it's a welcoming spot for everyone.

WOULD WE GO THEM AGAIN?

Yes - we love coffee and cake at the best of times, let alone in surroundings this pretty.
